Spare Clothing This is usually confined to spare hats, gloves and light weight waterproof jackets	Emergency Shelters 2 are carried of different designs	First aid equipment One of the Leaders is a qualified First Aider	Radio and telephone equipment Radios are used for communications between the two leaders	torches

The following is a list of the major items of emergency equipment carried

                                                               2 emergency shelters of different designs

                                                                space blankets

                                                                first aid kit

                                                                cell phones (although reception cannot be guaranteed in the areas we use)

                                                                radios (for communications between the Leaders)

                                                                spare torches and batteries

                                                                various items of clothing, particularly gloves  hats and waterproofs

                                                                a G.P.S.  This is not used to follow the route.  It is intended for emergency use only.
